Spanish Eagle

2022 : for our first year living on our land in Alentejo, we had the privilege to have 3 sightings of a Spanish Eagle. Our second sighting on August 28 was really special, as a Spanish Eagle flew over our land, circling several times above our heads. Incredible!

When we moved in, we knew there was a chance to spot this very rare raptor at home. It is breeding only in Spain and Portugal, and there are less than 200 pairs in the wild. We had a first sighting only a few minutes from our monte a week or two before our first sighting on our land.
