Thekla’s Lark

Summer 2022 : the Thekla's Lark is a resident species that can be found in most areas of Portugal. Very similar to Crested Lark, a close and good view is required to ensure a reliable identification. At home, we have the chance to see 2, probably a pair, almost every day. They often come close to the house, foraging on the ground, perching or rock piles or even on trees. This species gives us fantastic photo opportunities that we cannot wait to seize.
